County Hazards reproduces agency files without editorial changes, so most differences between this site and what someone remembers of an event come from the files themselves.

Disputes about an event, declaration or claim record

Storm event records belong to NOAA NCEI and the National Weather Service office that filed them; NCEI accepts corrections through its Storm Events contact form. Declarations and NFIP figures are FEMA's. Corrections the agencies make appear here at the next build after they publish them. This site cannot alter an agency record.

Errors introduced by this site

If a figure here does not match the agency file it cites (an event attached to the wrong county, a mis-parsed damage amount, a ZIP assigned to the wrong county, a broken comparison), write to the address on the contact page with the page URL and the agency value. Processing errors are fixed in the code and the site is rebuilt; expect a reply within five working days.

Personal information

The site publishes aggregates only. If anything on a page identifies a person or an individual property, report the URL and it will be removed at the next build.
